Why Janet Jackson postponed her tour

In the last months, the fans of Janet Jackson had been preparing for what was supposed to be one of her biggest tours. The Unbreakable World Tour started in August, 2015 and it should finish in June, 2016. However, a message on Twitter left many fans disappointed and worried at the same time.

On December 24, Janet Jackson announced on her personal Twitter account that she will postpone the tour until spring. The singer needs to undergo surgery but she did not mention why. However, the fans who have already purchased tickets don’t have to be upset; they will be honored at the next concert of the singer.

Some of the fans think that the surgery is connected to her vocal cords since she cancelled some of her shows in October to take a vocal rest. Hopefully there is nothing that will destroy the wonderful voice of hers. The fact that she refused to make any comments regarding the type of surgery that she is having also made the fans worry; is Janet having a serious problem?

The Unbreakable World Tour supports the album with the same name, released in 2015. The tour was announced on May 15, 2015, together with her Unbreakable album. Initially, the tour was supposed to consist of 36 concerts, but several others were added later on. The tickets have been available since June 22, and many sites were completely sold out within a very short time. Some tickets might still be found owing to the postponement of the tour. The singer promised that this is going to be one of her best tours and she will not only sing on stage, but also dance.
